Cruises are a wonderful way to get away from it all. Cruise ships offer many of the same amenities as hotels. The main difference is that you are on a boat traveling on the ocean, rather than being in a stationary place on land.
Cruises usually have destinations but the boat cruise itself is a vacation all on its own. There may be some things to consider packing in order to prepare for your ocean adventure. Most cruises will limit the amount of luggage you can take.
Below are some few tips provided by Steve Misencik on “What to Pack for a Cruise” –
Pack a smaller bag to keep with you at all times for items that you may need immediately, since the cruise line will most likely take your luggage before boarding.
Most cruise lines do not have strict guidelines for attire and just encourage casual wear. You’re on vacation, after all. Remember that most cruise lines offer laundry and dry cleaning services so you can pack fancier clothing if you decide to dine in one of their high-end restaurants.
Don’t forget to pack your tablets, chargers, batteries, cameras and power converters too. These items might be best to keep in the small carrier bag that you will have with you at all times. Most cruise lines offer complimentary toiletries, clothes or baby needs if there is something you may have forgotten. In some cases, you may even bring your own bottle of wine or champagne for a small corkage fee.
